“Whenever we learn a language, we learn and use words.”

With a world which is becoming global, we also have to learn words which have a meaning which not necessarily exist within our mother language.

When we have to work with different people, having a constructive common output objective, but using a language which is the mother language of none of them, the “clear cut definitions” option is far too complex and fragile to use. The solution is to use intuition: trying to understand what the other parties mean when they say something, specially when they say something which is clearly inadequate to us. It is also the route we use with our kids.
