Hello John,

Yes, in the end Education will change the world. But this can happen in many different “honest” ways. As Even teaching Creationism is considered “honest” by people believing in Creationism.

The funny thing is that we still talk about “Theory of Evolution” when even a Pope (John Paul II) wrote that it was ‘’more than a theory’’. And Evolution is quite documented. While the “Theory of Creation” is supported by absolutely nothing serious. Still we stick the term Theory to the documented proposal.

People will stick with what guarantees to be considered “within” the community.

.

What I think is that life will become difficult for more and more people on earth. Due to poor countries trying to get a better life (using more of the ‘’ressources’’ >> destroying their environment). Due to rich countries which are already buying land and controlling oil/minerals/etc everywhere. Due to global warming. Due to migrations which are expected to increase.

In difficult times, people stick together around something common (nation, race, religion, etc) and reject who is different. That is why, to get any chance to maintain/introduce a “honest Education” in many places on earth, a possible route could be to help a large religion which is already opening for that (without denying their fundamental beliefs).

I am totally Atheist, but I consider Secular Religions as an important element of social link, of Culture, and probably of peace too. Individually, believers also need to believe. There is no problem living with non-extremist believers from all religions. I married in church as an atheist, and she was a believer. We have been married for over 45 years. Our families count believers from all major religions.
