In order to be comfortable with the new things I must do in order to be rich, I will most probably need to do things which are forbidden according to my current Values & Beliefs.
Indeed, Economics is a religion on its own. We know its rules, but it has NO Values nor Moral.
If I want not to ne rejected by my social group, I need to pretend acting in line with my current values, and do otherwise. I also can let them down altogether… That is Social Group, Values & Beliefs…
At this point, I ask myself which are the Values I need to be rich. And which are the Beliefs which could underlie these Values ?
As you rightly say, it is a choice. (But Belief of free will/ choice is a Belief which does not belong to the Religion of Economics).
